If our cells worked like pharma organisations, we’d be dead. In biology, silos kill — it is very simple. Imagine if mitochondria refused to talk to the nucleus because “energy isn’t our remit.” or ribosomes said, “We don’t do strategy — we just translate mRNA.” or the immune system decided to optimise its own KPIs while ignoring the rest of the organism.

Matt Britland - Medical Director

ROCKEDGE IS BUSTING SILOS!!!

Silos don’t just slow launches. They dilute accountability, blur decision-making, and quietly erode Medical’s impact (not something anyone wants). When people work together, things work better. That’s why we’ve partnered with Rock8 Science to create RockEDGE — not a rebrand but a deliberately designed way of working that tackles the real reasons cross-functional systems fail.

CROSS FUNCTIONAL - ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIP

Expert-Led Enterprise Diagnosis

We start with rigorous, evidence-based diagnosis across brands, portfolios and leadership systems — surfacing where Medical insight is under-used, where decisions stall, and where roles quietly compete instead of collaborate.

From Alignment to Real Ways-of-Working

This is not about workshops that feel good for a week. We redesign how Medical, Commercial, Access and Leadership actually work together — with clarity on ownership, decision rights and Medical integrity.

Impact Where it Matters
Better launches. Less re-work. Faster, more confident decisions. Let's not keep trying to justify our value with an outdated value proposition.
Ultimately, better outcomes for patients and QUM.

RockEDGE Value Propositions

✅ Data & Insights led diagnosis: A multi‑layer diagnostic at brand, company and global level that cuts through long‑standing bias uncovering real gaps and opportunities in cross‑functional performance. Every team receives a bespoke, evidence‑based path to improvement, not generic guidance.

✅ Silo busting: Removing functional barriers through empathy, structure, process and sustained support. RockEdge strengthens decision‑making, accelerates collaboration, and creates the conditions for teams to operate as one system, not disconnected functions.

✅ ROI Impact = Driving measurable value; reduced cost, faster speed to market, and improved patient benefit. All translating directly into stronger company performance.

SUSAN HEELEY

MANAGING DIRECTOR - ROCK8 SCIENCE

I'm a commercially focused leader with a career shaped by curiosity, partnership, and a drive to find better ways forward in healthcare. With senior roles across global and local pharmaceutical organisations, I have built a reputation for translating complexity into sustainable commercial outcomes while investing deeply in the growth of people and businesses.

My  journey spans leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Novartis. Across these roles, I have operated at the intersection of strategy, execution, and collaboration—working closely with diverse stakeholders to deliver value in highly regulated, fast-evolving environments. My experience extends across the full healthcare ecosystem, including public and private health services, clinician groups, CROs, NFPs, pathology, government, retail and hospital pharmacy, private health insurers, wholesalers and distributors, and data-driven partners.

Grounded in curiosity and long-term thinking, I am known for developing high-performing teams and commercial models that are resilient, ethical, and aligned to better patient and system outcomes.

CHARLES HEELEY

UNCOMPLICATED CEO OF ROCK8 SCIENCE

I was born different, and for the first eight years of my life, surgical innovation helped make life more comfortable—but it also sparked a lifelong curiosity about how things work and how they can be made better. It took me until my 40s to fully recognise that being different is not a weakness but an asset. The pursuit of “normal” can be limiting; making a difference often comes from doing things differently, and intentionally.

With many years in senior executive roles across pharmaceuticals and healthcare, I have become a visionary leader with deep experience in cultural change and business transformation. I challenge norms, remove complexity, learn from mistakes, and approach problems from new perspectives. I know how to build successful businesses—driving growth, shaping clear vision and strategy, executing with precision, and measuring what truly matters—by bringing people on the journey through trust and choice, not instruction.

Culture is the most important asset in any organisation. When it’s right, people thrive; when it’s not, it must be fixed. I’ve seen this firsthand, led it, and delivered results. We work with people—enable them, and they will surprise themselves and inspire others.
